State Tourney Info

State Tournament Information.

Boys A- We have games at 10:30, 12:30, and 2:30. People should show up by 9:30 and expect to stay until about 4:15. Boys are playing on D1.

Boys B- We also have games at 10:30, 12:30, and 2:30. Show up by 9:30 and expect to stay until 4:15. Playing on Field I2 to start.

Girls: We are playing at 8:30, 10:30, and 2:30.We should show up by 7:45 and expect to stay until 4:15. Girls are on field A1 first.

Boys if you can show up at 8:30 to support the girls that would be awesome. Captains have a captains meeting to go to (boys at 9:45, Girls at 7:45)

Boys B: We have a scrimmage against Woodbury, I do not have the details as it was set up by Joseph Miller, If you need to know more post here or ask a friend what they know.

Girls: Make up game at Como.

State is this weekend, but until then here are this weeks plans.

Boys A: We have been scheduled for a game this tuesday to determine our seeding for state. We currently are ranked 34th in the state, and are playing against the 32 seed to see if we should be the top seed of division 3, or the bottom seed of division 2.
The game is scheduled for 6 pm on tuesday. I currently am not able to make it so I will check with Mark McNairy or Joseph Miller to see if they can fill in for me.

Boys A is playing Cretin. We were scheduled for a home game, but unfortunately are field is double booked with softball and we only have space for one field at game time so we have to play at Cretin's fields. Also, they have softball on their fields starting at 6, so we are going to need to start early. That all being said, Boys A game this thursday at the saint Clair Playgrounds starting at 4:00, please arrive by 3:35 and start warming up immediately.

Boys B is playing Apple Valley B at Home. Be at Sibley by 5:15.

If you cannot make it to a game please post so we know.

Our Schedule looks to like our first game is 10 am on saturday.  Game times should be 10, 1:00, 2:30, and 4:00 on saturday and then starting again on sunday at 1:00 and at 2:30.

Please arrive by 9:15 on saturday, find Joseph (or field 9). Bring warm clothes, water, snacks and sunblock.  In addition to all of your normal ultimate gear.

Boy B make up game monday

Joseph posted this on the Face book site and wanted to make sure that it is posted here as well. Boys make up game on monday. Here is the info.

BOYS B

We are playing a make up game against CDH on Monday at the St. Clair fields in Saint Paul (https://www.google.com/maps…)

Please arrange rides to pick you up from practice at 5pm, and we'll plan on arriving about 5:15-5:20pm.

Please comment if you *cannot* make it. Otherwise, I will assume you are showing up.

Boys Games for Thursday:

Boys A will play at home against Roseville A, we played them earlier in the year and won 13-11. This is a rematch as we are playing into our conference playoffs. This game is very important for us.

Boys B will play at Cretin. Normally they play at the saint clair playgrounds. I just recieved an email saying that we will be able to play at the school fields...The location is posted below. (The school is on the corner of Hamline and Randolph, the fields are on the south west corner of the property.)

Note that the easiest place to park should be near the corner of Hartford ave and Pascal st. Games should be at the normal time. Please arrive at your fields at 5:15 on thursday. Normal practice tomorrow for everyone

This week in Ultimate April 26-May1

Practice as scheduled is usually scheduled for monday and wednesday. 3:30-5:15.

Boys: This is the Open Bye week, so there will not be games played this week. We currently do not have games to make up so it seems we will have a well deserved day off.

Team Dues. Dues for the season are $95, the following people have paid. Everyone else should bring a check monday or wednesday to practice.

I have received checks from: Hayden, Chancler, Max, Luke, Ben W, Garret, Michael, and Ben V from the A team. Hannah, Emma B, Emma A, and Sidney from the Girls team. And Henry, Jake, Connor, Ike, Levi, Liam, Erik, Joe, and Toivo have paid from the B team.

Everyone who is not listed I expect bring a check on monday or wednesday. If you are unable to bring a check this week you will need to talk to me at practice or send me an email (theandrewbarten@gmail.com) so we can talk about what the plan is for paying dues.

Tournament Update

Hopkins Hustle will take place on May 9th and 10th. If you are on the Boys A team it is expected that you are available to make this tournament. If you cannot make it you will need to let me know as soon as possible.

Chris Goeke should take place May 16th and 17th. If you are on the Boys B team we would like you to make it to this tournament. Please confirm withJoseph Miller if you can or cannot attend.

Ladies: due to low numbers at the start of the season we did not sign up for a tournament. If you have interest in playing in a tournament prior to the state tournament talk to me and we will look to add you to one of the boys rosters for a tournament.

We will talk more about tournaments as they get closer.

Jersey's are in.

Jerseys are in and will be at Practice tomorrow.

When you get your Jersey inspect it and make sure that it doesn't have any screen printing or tailoring errors. If something is wrong with it let me know as I would like to put in our second order by Friday for people who did not get information in for the initial order.

That being said I need to talk to Emma Abes A, Jessica Affolter , Annika Snyder, and Jenny Yang from the Girls team and Sam Roberts, Joe Wasseiler, Jake Wendt, Billy Gleason, and Matt Kinney about getting Jersey sizes for the reorder. Also if you are not listed above, but don't get a Jersey you need to talk to me.

This Week in Ultimate

Practice for Boys and Girls on Monday at 3:30.

Tuesday Girls Game: (Currently ranked #1 in the state) We are at home against Saint Paul Central. Please show up by 5:15 to warm up and fool around before game time.

Wednesday: Girls Practice 3:30 (Boys who don't have anything better to do show up to girls practice)
Boys A: will play at Armstrong B, please try to arrive by 5:25 at Pilgrim Lane Elementary Park, Plymouth, MN 55441
Boys B: will play at home against Washburn A; please show up by 5:15 (if you don't have homework or other plans feel free to come to practice first though you are not obligated).

Thursday: Boys A is scheduled for a home game against Edina C, they are wondering if we can play at their place instead as they are a C team and struggle to find drivers/transportation (your thoughts?) If we are at home we will start at 5:15, if we are there will start at 5:25 let me know if we mind driving.
Boys B: We are playing at White Bear Open B; please try to show up at 5:15 to 2399 Cedar Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110 (My experience is that it takes longer than we think to get there.)

Other Notes: So far I have received team dues ($95) from Hayden, Emma B, and Chancler; Everyone else please bring a check made out to Sibley Ultimate Club for $95 for Jersey/League fees.

This Week in Ultimate April 6th edition

This is our first week of games.  Hubbs will traditionally handle Girls games and I will post anything he lets me know about, otherwise I will be posting what is normally scheduled. (The same is also true for Boys B and Joseph, except I will frequently am contacted about Boys B games so have more information)

Our Girls are Scheduled to Play Minneapolis South B at Henry Sibley on Tuesday at 6PM. Players should show up at 5:15 for pregame warm ups and a little chance to hang out before the game begins. We are on our fields just below the Tennis Courts same place as we practice.

Our Boys A team are playing Roseville A on Thrusday at Henry Sibley at 6 PM.  Players should show up at 5:15 for pregame warmups and a little chance to hang out and practice before the game begins.

Boys B is playing Cretin-Derham Hall B.  Same time and place as the Boys A team. Please show up at 5:15 for warmups and throwing.

All Players should bring a Red Shirt to wear for the game.  Please bring your cleats, water, and clothing appropriate for the weather and note that it will cool off while the game is going on (Hooray minnesota spring).  If you have any questions feel free to post or email them.


Each of our teams will have an upcoming Make up game from last week.  I have messaged the teams we are playing and am trying to schedule them for either Tuesday or Wednesday the 14th or 15th. Hubbs is rescheduling the Girls Game. I will post information as soon as I am aware of it. If you know you will not be available for either tuesday or wednesday please let me know so we can make sure that we are scheduling the game when we have the most available players.

Other Notes which are important!

Jerseys Have been ordered.  I did not get everyones information in for our first order and we will be submitting a second order shortly after the first arrives so that we can make sure to get any errors in the first order sent with the second shipment. If you did not get a first order in do not be alarmed, you will have another chance.

Team Dues: Now that Jerseys are ordered we have our final total for our Season costs.  Unlike last year (last year the dues and Jerseys were two separate payments) we will have one payment.  Solid color jerseys with a three color screen print, names, and numbers on the back came to a total of $40 each after shipping and our youth discount. After our fundraising total of $2300 each players dues will be $55.  Each player should bring a check to one of the coaches next week made out to Sibley Ultimate Club with your name written in the memo box for $95. If you need to work something out with your parents for Extra time to pay the season fee it is not a problem, but you will need to email me (theandrewbarten@gmail.com) to set up a payment timeline.

Initial Rosters

Initial Rosters for both Boys A and B teams, as well as any actions that must be taken. If you have a roster problem listed next to your name you must talk to me about resolving it, or resolve it and let me know that it is fixed on practice either Monday or Wednesday.

As a reminder; Our Boys A roster is shorter than our Boys B roster, and after the second or third game we play we will move 1-3 players for out Boys B team to our Boys A team.

Reminder that there are not official Practices during Spring Break, but we are going to try to play pickup on our fields and just have fun both monday and wednesday from 3:30 until about 5:30.  If you can make please do.

Jerseys! I would like to put the order in for Jersey's as soon as possible so I need to get everyones Jersey Size. Please post it in the comments below. If you played last year and have a number that you would like to keep please post it as well. If you are new and have a number preference you may post a number you would like, but I will make no promise to anyone that they will get their preferred number.

Posts below should look like "Andrew Barten, size L, number 17" but use your name, size, and the number you would like or a ? if you don't have a preference.

No practice tomorrow. Some playing options during Spring Break.

Reminder, No practice on Thursday. We are now practicing outdoors on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 until 5:15. Also, Next week is spring break so we will not have traditional practice. However I would like to take a poll on who would show up from 4:00 to 6:00 on Monday or Wednesday to scrimmage? If you can make it please post saying you're interested.


Also I wanted to make a note of another opportunity to play Pick up Ultimate. Hubbs will likely be at the Saint Claire Playground (Corner of Saint Clair and Onieda in saint paul) on saturday morning at 10:30. Anyone interested in playing or watching more experienced players play should stop by for a bit (forecast is 41 and sunny).

Outdoor Practice on Wednesday. Sorry for the late posting.

Late reminder that we our Outdoors for Practice on Wednesday. It will likely be a little wet and muddy...you should dress accordingly (Warm clothes, and hopeful water resistant). Everyone outside by 3:15ish, ready to run at 3:30.

Just practicing to see if I can still remember how to post things on to our Blog.

Just a few updates.

I have registered us for 2 open teams and 1 girls team.  Checks are sent in and we are all set to go.

Blitz date on Sunday.  Please be at Sibley at or before noon.  (we will likely be out selling by 12:30 so if you are going to be later than that please let someone know so we can make accommodations. If you can bring a parent who is willing to drive you and another player around please do so.  Parent if your kid can bring you a long you will be very helpful, but also you may be bored. It is a good idea to bring something to do that you can do while in your car.

Jerseys are currently be Managed by Lady Captain Maggie Smith, I will get an updated photo posted as soon as I can. Then will will figure out costs and get them ordered as fast as we can.

Indoor Practices Start Next Monday!

We have finalized our indoor practice schedule:

Starting Monday March 2nd:
- Mondays 4-6pm at Friendly Hills (Boys only)
- Tuesdays 4-6pm at Friendly Hills (Girls only)
- Thursdays 4-6pm at Friendly Hills (ALL players)

This schedule will continue for four weeks (or sooner - weather permitting).
Come dressed in athletic clothes and shoes.

**All players are expected to be at all practices.  If you are unable to attend, email your coach.**

2015 Season Informational Meeting

Just a reminder that the info meeting for the 2015 season is this Monday!
